When I shared that I’d officially joined Creator Fi as a Governing Partner, I said I was excited… and I genuinely meant it. It’s one of those opportunities that just feels like the right fit.
After spending more than 10 years in music, building businesses and meeting some incredible people along the way, I’ve realised I get just as much enjoyment from helping other people as I do from building my own projects.
Over the years, I’ve met loads of talented creators with amazing ideas. The frustrating part? Most of them don’t lack talent—they lack access.
Access to funding.
Access to the right people.
Access to opportunities.
That’s where Creator Fi comes in.
The creator economy has grown so quickly, but the way creators are funded hasn’t really kept up. If your income comes from music royalties, YouTube, subscriptions or content, traditional finance doesn’t always know what to do with you. Creator Fi is changing that by giving creators a way to unlock funding based on what they’re already building, instead of expecting them to fit into an old system that was never designed for them.
To date, Creator Fi has helped raise more than $125 million towards investing in the creator economy, and it’s exciting to now be part of that journey.
What really sold it for me was the people and the mission. I’ve learned a lot over the years, usually by making mistakes first! If I can use those experiences to help someone else avoid a few bumps in the road, then that’s time well spent.
A huge thank you to Jack C. and Mickey Bouwer for the opportunity and for believing in me. I’m looking forward to working with a team that’s genuinely passionate about helping creators build something sustainable.
It feels like we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible for creators, and I’m excited to play a small part in what comes next.
