You know what’s funny about music? You genuinely never know where it’s going to take you!
When I first started out, I never imagined that one day I’d be performing at events like this, let alone meeting people I’d only ever seen from a distance and I never imagined music would lead to meeting Richard Branson.
I recently had the privilege of DJing at Virgin Atlantic’s 40th Anniversary celebration, and honestly, it was one of those moments where you have to stop and take it all in.
Even now, it’s still a little surreal, but the whole event was amazing. Virgin has always had a strong connection with music and creativity, so being part of a celebration like that felt really special.
For me, DJing has always been about creating moments, not just about playing a set. It’s about bringing people together, creating an atmosphere and being part of memories that people take away with them.
And I think that’s what this experience reminded me of most. The big moments are exciting, but they’re usually built on years of work that happens quietly behind the scenes.
You never really know where one decision, one connection or one opportunity might lead. So show up, learn, improve, build relationships, and say yes to opportunities.
